The Anonymous Shrimp is a very minor character in the original movie, The Little Mermaid. He is a male shrimp but not given a proper name, hence he is anonymous. His only line is a soft but high-pitched squeal of fear. He is eaten by Ursula just after her line "...when I lived in the palace" during an expository scene. When Ursula later describes herself as "practically starving," the irony is that he is now in her stomach and presumably being digested. He warrants mention for his effect on the audience, as some viewers consider it a genuinely scary sequence to watch Ursula eat him.
